Currently, ZTT Group - leading global manufacturer of cable systems, was awarded “Application and Design of Photoelectric Revitalization of Agriculture” by Asia Photovoltaic Industry Association in SNEC 2017. At present, photovoltaic poverty alleviation and photoelectric revitalization of agriculture have become the important principle of Chinese government, who has been always supporting for the agricultural modernization, building a new socialist countryside, and improving the quality of farmers’ livings. The conference has set up a series of awards for the first time to reward outstanding cases and works.
The award-winning project was located in Nantong District of Gangzha, which was jointly invested and constructed by ZTT and Nantong Power Supply Company. The installed capacity of the project is 800kWp, and it has adopted the block power generation and centralized grid connection scheme. Through the comprehensive comparison of technology and economy, ZTT selected the domestic high-quality 295Wp monocrystalline silicon component for the engineering component. With an annual average generating capacity of about 1 million kWh, 320 tons of standard coal can be saved per year, and will reduce 240 tons of dust emissions, 13 tons of nitrogen and oxygen compounds, and 900 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
The completion of the project is not only the first photovoltaic agricultural greenhouses demonstration projects in Nantong, but also the first time for Jiangsu province to through the implementation of photovoltaic agricultural greenhouses efficient ecological agriculture comprehensive protection on the top of the high voltage transmission line.
Through the combination of photovoltaic greenhouses and traditional agricultural planting, it effectively prevent the effects of agricultural greenhouse film on the transmission line when strong winds come, thus to ensure the safety of power transmission. Meanwhile, it has explored a new path for the development of high efficient ecological agriculture in the eastern region.
